December 20, 2005 UMBI's President Joins The Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO) Board of Directors Baltimore, MD - UMBI's President Dr. Jennie Hunter-Cevera was sworn in as a new member of the Board of Directors for the Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO). TEDCO was created by the State legislature in 1998 and is Governed by a 15-member Board, appointed by the Governor with advice and consent of the Senate. The Board is comprised of leaders in the State's technology community and contains representatives from the private, university, non-profit, and public sectors. TEDCO's mission is to facilitate the creation of businesses and foster their growth in all regions of the State through the commercialization of technology. TEDCO's role is to be Maryland’s leading source of funding for technology transfer and development programs and entrepreneurial business assistance.
