September 23, 2005 Calendar Notice Creative Global Connections In Bioscience WHAT: The State of Maryland announces an international conference focusing on innovative ways to support the growth and development of bioscience as an economic engine. The conference will discuss the economic impacts resulting from research and commercial activity in all areas of modern bioscience. Sessions will be held on the following topics: • Collaboration between Commercial Entities and Research Institutions • Development of Bioscience Infrastructure • Nurturing Entrepreneurial and Management Talent • Improving Access to Capital • Bioscience on a Global Scale/Developing International Relationships The State of Maryland is hosting this conference as the first return meeting of the "Districts of Creativity" regions assembled by the Government of Flanders in 2004 as well as other regions.
