COMB Faculty Represented at the 2005 International Marine Biotechnology Conference

 

Baltimore, MD - COMB faculty and students gave two keynote addresses, 17 presentations and chaired four sessions at the 2005 International Marine Biotechnology Conference in St. Johns, Newfoundland Canada on June 7th-12th.

Since the first conference in Tokyo, in 1989, the International Marine Biotechnology Conference has been held in the United States (1991), Norway (1994), Italy (1997), Australia (2000) and Japan (2003). St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada was the site of the 7th International Marine Biotechnology Conference on June 7th to 12th, 2005.

The International Marine Biotechnology Conference is an international forum for the world's leading scientists working at the cutting edge of marine biotechnology. Participants were provided the opportunity to exchange information, ideas and innovations with researchers working in the many interdisciplinary fields aligned with marine biotechnology. UMBI’s Center of Marine Biotechnology was well represented at this conference, highlighting their informational expertise.
